She Said Yes
She Said Yes: The Unlikely Martyrdom of Cassie Bernall by Misty BernallMy review
rating: 5 of 5 starsI think the book She Said Yes by Misty Bernall is a very insprirational story about everyday pressures by peers and family. It starts out during the 90's from the point of view of the mother of Cassie Bernall as she gets caught up in depression and with the wrong group of friends. This shows how any person can find the right friends and the way to God's love. This is truly tested for Cassie as her life is taken by two rampaging killers who question Cassie's love for God. Now she is known as one of the victims of the Columbine shooting. This small town of Columbine, Colorado has never been faced with such horror. Now the town can show how to overcome the loss of loved ones and be proud of those who stand with their morals. Once you read this book it will change your life and see how being in the Lord's love can make you to be the best person you can possibly be. Read this book and see if you agree.

Twilight
Twilight by Stephenie MeyerMy review
rating: 5 of 5 starsTwilight by Stephenie Meyer, is told by a 17 year old girl named Bella Swan, who moves from Phoenix to the small town of Forks, Washington, to live with her dad for the rest of high school. In Forks she meets Edward Cullen and his family, who possess an other-worldly and irresistible beauty and grace to which Bella is drawn. Twilight is the tale of Bella and Edward's evolving relationship, brimming with standard teenage drama alongside the unexpected, because Edward and his family are vampires. These undead friends have chosen to deny their urge to drink human blood, instead slaking their thirst with the blood of animals. Bella soon finds out that not all vampires in her life are constrained by such scruples.
The book includes treatment of sexuality and morality. Although there's plenty of yearning and sensuality, there is no sex, drinking, or drug use. Edward refuses Bella's desire to be turned into a vampire herself, on grounds that it wouldn't be the right thing to do.
Twilight is an easy and enjoyable read. Its in first-person viewpoint which keeps you wanting more. Its unique and entertaining. Twilight will almost certainly appeal to teenage girls and many women of all ages. It's sure to make readers eager to follow Stepenie Meyers, as she unraveles the story of Bella and Edward through three more novels.

My Experience
When I was accused of being a witch my initial thought was about the trial I was going to have to take part in. When I walked into the court room I suddenly broke into a deep and chilling sweat, I felt everyone's eyes in the room were on me. All of the sudden I was in the front of the room right next to the judge, when he asked me sternly, "tell me exactly what happened ?" So I looked him straight in the face and told him what I remembered had happened, it all started when I was sitting in the public house and a girl, a little younger than I myself, looked directly into my eyes and went completely insane. She was suddenly running around the room violently flapping her arms, screaming at the must of her lungs. Then the accusations began. Every adult, old person, and young person ran out yelling about how I was a witch, I just had to be a witch. So when I was finished telling him what had happened after a few more hours of plain conversation, he straight up asked me if I wanted to plead guilty or innocent? I turned to face him directly and I told him that I wanted to plead innocent. He looked up from my face with a rather saddened look and said," she shall be hung!" Inside I was calm yet worried. Worried about the pain I am about to experience, worried if I made the wrong decision. But all the way inside of myself I felt some sort of relief because I knew the nightmare that was happening in Salem was going to doom them all eventually, but I was destined for a much better place, I just kept thinking to myself how my life might be over, but my spirit was going to live on. I was completely ready to make my way home, to heaven. Now I am hanging in the summer sunset but I am not dead I am as alive as ever, nor am I a witch of any kind. I feel great remorse for those other than me that were also accused of being so called witches and those who confessed as guilty to live amongst these fools who believe in such devilish things. And I even more than greatly feel remorse for those who were executed because one person said they were innocent by blaming another.

First Quarter
Our first quarter in English 11 with Mrs. Huff has been pretty good kind of crazy at times but from what I have seen of it really fun. I've grown as a reader so far this year in a strong sense, now in my spare time instead of texting on my cell phone or watching TV. I read. This 1st quarter my vocabulary has grown and I have learned many writing techniques which I now use in more classes than just English. I have enjoyed being in Mrs. Huff's class this year so far and look forward to the rest.

An Interesting Tread
Today in my lit. Group we talked a lot about whether the creatures in our book could actually exist. We also said that in today’s society there are so many brutal crimes and acts of hate that maybe there are actually these evil and demonic creatures on our earth and in our country. We talked about more of the books which are actually a series and we talked about what happens in the future books because Erick as already read 7 of these books and there are 11 of them, so by conversing about the future of the people and/or creatures in this book it made it even more interesting and made me want to continue reading the books by this author.
